How can I tell my mom no?

I’m graduating from college and moving to Nevada (from Maryland). My best friend lives there already and is coming back and driving with me across the country. My mother has just told me she wants to come with. How can I tell her I want to do this alone without hurting her feelings?

Mom, I really enjoy spending time with you, but I really wanted this to be a road trip with just _

Understand that she feels like this is it, her last chance to do something with you. So create alternative plans. Something special that just you and your mother.

well I think that you should first practis a little bit about saing no to your mom

And then when your ready just come up and say “No” but to be a little bit more polite you could say “sorry… but no”

Tell her you want to bond with your friend alone and spend time because you havent seen her in a while. im also sure her feelings wont be hurt!
