How can I sing higher?

O.k here’s the deal. I sing really good with low notes and middle ones but I dont think I sound good in higher ones. I have a concert in a few days and I dont think Im ready the song Im singin has a lot of high notes. Do you know anything I can do to help my high notes? Any exercises?
~Thankz!~

Anyone can reach high notes with a little practice and good technique. posture: shoulders comfortably back, legs shoulder length apart arms hanging by sides, standing up straight. feel confident with yourself, it’s okay to make mistakes. learn how to properly shape your vowels, it’s hard to explain so I would say to look it up for a diagram. Make sure to dictate your consinants clealy. Breath support is key too. breath in deeply before singing, this should be a quick short “gasp” with energy and it shouldnt make much noise and the diaphram should expand not your chest. expanding your chest if wrong. Support your sound by firming the diaphram and keeping it like that. start the sound strong by starting with confidence and breathing on the vowel. You need to raise the soft pallet also and create a lot of space inside your mouth. High notes can be challenging and take practice. They don’t just come overnight. trry starting from a lower note and gradually increasing. like la la la or ooo ooo ooo something liike that. im sure if you have a vocal instructor at school (if you go to school) they’d be willing to help. confidence helps a lot too. warm up excersises/ vocal excersises will expand your range, losen your singing muscles, and help prevent vocal chord injury. the warm ups above are pretty good. theres so amny you can do.

How high do you have to go?

use your diaphram mussel pretend like your voice is coming from your diaphram DON’T drink any Dairy product the few days before the concert, that will cause flim, flim is not good. Gargle with salt water to help cleanse your throat of flim

Try doing a few good warm ups such as the sirens Start low & go up the scale in one breath, as high as you can, then descend back down the scale Keep doing this, getting higher & higher

Try singing BDFLMNPTVVV going up the scale on each note, twice then singing it descending the scale

Make sure you’re getting plenty of breath support. Your diaphram fully expanded, ribs expanded, shoulders back. If you need an extra boost at times when running out of air crunch your diaphram, you can manage this by leaning forward a bit rather than back. Do some warm ups. Take a long breath for 4 counts then exhale making an “S” sound for 4 repeat except exhale for 8 then exhale for 4 & exhale for 12, then 16, all the way until you reach at least 60 seconds, or even longer if you wish.

You DON’T want to belt, that potentially can have damaging effects on your voice in the long run(at least if you do it too often) & it doesn’t sound right when you’re trying to achieve the notes on the higher scale.

Try singing the song, but only the vowels of the song, or on la, or even practice both. This will help you achieve the high notes for when you actually sing it.

Try looking on a search engine or even youtube Or ask your instructor for soe help If anything, I’m sure some notes can be adjusted to better suite you.

Best of luck to you. 1_~ I hope I helped
