How can I lose weight?

Hey im 18years old and 217 pounds, I want to lose weight for no 1 else but myself can anyone help?

Well, first of all it’s good that you are doing this for yourself. Being healthy can contribute to having a happy life.

First of all you’re going to have to see what works for you, yourself style, and your body. I always suggest life style changes. It might be bard, but you’ll adjust. Eating healthy is a big obvious, fruits, veggies, make sure you get all of the food groups within your diet.

Eating five-six small meals a day usually works well. Count your calories, if you have five small meals a day that are each 250 calories that’s 1,250 calories a day which isn’t bad at all. Be aware of what you’re eating, read the ingredients and try to stick to all natural foods. Most stores now have health food isles which makes it easy to shop for healthier items. Try to keep a regular eating schedule, don’t eat until you’re full, just until you’re not hungry anymore.

Having sweets, or pizza every now and then is fine because it’s not good to completely ignore our cravings… that will turn into a disaster. Have a few ‘goodies’ every now and then to keep your cravings under control. Just know when enough is enough.

Exercise is also important. If you don’t feel comfortable joining a gym or can’t afford to get a trainer, try going for walks, or jogs. Play around with yoga, or even take dance classes. Try work out videos as well. Exercise doesn’t always have to be just lifting weights and running on a treadmill, it can be enjoyable.

Build up to what your body can handle.

Self discipline is needed, you’re going to have to get use to a routine…but you’ll get the hang of it. Good luck!

Well what I do is limit myself to 3 healthy meals a day and only 1 unhealthy snack. Eat till im full not stuffed. Excersice for 1 hour or more a day. Maybe go for a job or do a workout dvd. Drink plenty of water. And certainly do NOT go on stupid diets such as the apple diet because you dont get all the vitimans and minerals you need. hope this helps :)
