You SHOULDN’T lose weight fast. Try and lose it slowly and steadily. Look at the page Childhood Obesity on www.farawaysister.com for guidance.

158.4 lbs to 120 lbs is not realistic. First of all, you need to aim to be HEALTHY, not skinny. At your height, 135 lbs sounds good. Second of all, you need to lose weight slowly but steadily. Since it is healthy to lose between 1 to 2 lbs every week, tell yourself that you’ll be down to 150 lbs by next month, 145 lbs by the next month, and so on and so forth. (Do remember that the first 5 lbs are usually the easiest to lose.)

5 miles a day is a little overboard, especially if you’re not used to being physically active. Just walk/jog for 30 minutes everyday from now on. Don’t beat yourself up if you miss a day, but try to do it at least 5 times per week. As for food, don’t restrict anything but eat within reason.
