How can I have a nice bath while on my period?

I’m on my period, I want to go in the bath without having to worry about it. I’ve tried using a tampon while in the bath (as suggested for swimming) but all that happens is the tampon soaks in a load of water then when I get out, it just all goes everywhere. Any ideas?

You cannot have a bath hygienically during a period, you can wash yourself over with a soaked towel, sponges harbour bacteria easier, or shower carefully, always avoiding the genital area in either case.

I was clicking through old questions and came across this and I have to say that this answer is absolute crap. If anyone reads this don’t believe it. Of course you can bathe while you’re on your period. And when you shower don’t “avoid the genital area” as that’s completely stupid. How else do you wash the blood away? It’s disgusting and dirty to not wash while you’re on. That’s five days of built up blood down there. DISGUSTING. WASH IT. JUST RINSE IT WITH THE SHOWER HEAD. YOU DON’T NEED A SPONGE. WASH, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD. No man would want a smelly, dirty woman anyway! WASH. And if you want a bath, rinse first, then fill the bath, then bathe, then rinse after! NO PROBLEM. Some people make me really angry with their ignorance. They just spread it like disease ¬¬
