How can I get rid of acne, becuase my acne facewash isn't working!?

I normal use my clean and clear acne control face wash set…but for some reason…everything I try NEVER works…I’m thinking about get Proactive…but I wanna know if there is anyways, remedies, or like a kind of drink of excirsise to prevent of get rid of acne!

NEVER use clean and clear. It dries out your skin and then causes it to overproduce oil,which will worsen your acne.

Best thing that you can do for acne is to wash your skin with a non-scented gelatin soap and/or something like epi-wash. That should get your skin to clear up significantly.

If that doesn’t work try speaking to your doctor about medication for acne.

I used some creams and washes that dont work I heard that scrubbing your face with salt is good is it??suggestions please :)

well I have very sensitive skin so I have to use a moisturizer. I use clean & clear the orange bottle with Aveeno ultra moisturizer spf 15. it’s really good. some tips to reduce acne:

  1. do not touch your face (or anyone else) ANYWHERE during the day even if it itches (usually it’s either a hair in your face or a pimple coming or growing or healing and itching it can irritate it)
  2. keep your hair out of your face as much as possible
  3. keep a clean pillow case and change it every 2 or 3 weeks or sooner
  4. drink one cup of water or more per night, this will help detoxify your body
  5. try to be a little more active if not already
  6. try to stay away from milk products, meat that’s high in fat, chocolate (you can still have some), and other fatty foods
  7. eat fruit! it sounds repetitive but it really does help! and carrots are good for skin too! I think
  8. excericse, boring I know, but try dancing to some music
  9. if you take hot showers, try and lower the temp. just a little bit because this also helps the skin. at the end of your shower, turn the temp really cold for a few seconds and put your face under it because this will help you feel refreshed even though it’s freezing!
  10. ALWAYS use only one towel for your face. do NOT use colored towels use white ones because they have no dyes.
  11. ALWAYS wash your hands very good before AND after washing and cleaning your face. this will help with less contamination for others and yourself
  12. when you sleep at night, don’t put your face on your pillow because dirt can get into your pores
  13. NEVER use needles even if they’re clean because it’s not good
  14. yes you are supposed to pop your pimples to get the bacteria out I guess. people say not to probably because most people don’t pop them correctly. to pop them, wash your hands (preferrably use a clean rag and put your hands under the rag but do not reuse it) and place your fingers on each side of the pimple. now instead of pushing them together to squeeze it out and possibly have it go underneath the skin and spread, push it out by seperating your fingers while still on skin. if it doesn’t come out, wait till the next day so that it doesn’t spread.
  15. don’t let other people touch your face, you don’t know where their hands have been
  16. get 20-30 minutes (no more without sunscreen) of sun and fresh air every day. you’ll get fresh air for your skin and vitamin D. but if you use that aveeno stuff, you have some sunscreen on so you’ll be okay for about a half hour outside. anymore time can be bad for you skin
  17. try drinking a glass of water in the morning too!
  18. if you have swollen or big hard pimples, apply ice to them at night in a ziplock bag or something with a CLEAN napkin
  19. stay away from OJ it’s an acidic drink and other acidic drinks you should stay away from
  20. avoid hair sprays or other chemical sprays from getting onto your skin
  21. try to use at least a little less makeup. I used to put on a lot of makeup on but once I only put it on the red spots with pimples (it still blended) it started to go away.
  22. try eating sandwiches more often with whole\multi-grain wheat breads and nuts are very good for your skin! not necessarily the salty ones but kashews and such are good
  23. once per week, take a hot clean bath and wash your face afterwards, but don’t stick your face in the water because your dirt from your body is in there
  24. wash your hair atleast every other day(washing your hair more than once a day can attract lice so be careful) p.s.(you can shower with your hair up bangs back and just wash your body)
  25. wash armpits and genital(wash hands afterwards twice thoroughly but wash all other parts after you clean your face because if you don’t, that can be bad and gross)
  26. after all work outs, take a shower even if you don’t feel sweaty
  27. take a 20-30 min. break every day at night or in free time(set your alarm just in case you can’t fall asleep) and just completely rest and don’t think about anything except relaxation(if you have to do something later in the day set your alarm so you don’t keep thinking about how much time to rest) p.s. no music! no music!
  28. try steaming your face twice a week (be careful it can be hot!)then wash your face and rinse with cold cold cold water then put moisturizer on
  29. try swimming more often in the summer (I’m not sure but I think salt water is good for your face)
  30. do not rub your face
  31. do not use soap! not even on your legs, use a body wash for your legs arms, belly, etc.
  32. keep objects away from your face, and keep off really tight clothing
  33. limit sun presence
  34. use cotton balls to cleanse face
  35. get at least 8 hours of sleep or more. try to go to bed the same time and wake up the same time
  36. try not to get stressed out
  37. eat salads, avoid sweets

go to trader joes and get the tea tree oil and the scrub…it helped emensly…make sure to read the directions first…you can eat any vegtable and fruit drink a lot of water, orange juice, work out and shower right after…don’t touch your face…don’t pop or pick anything…you can get and acne facial to give you a boost…your docter can provide and antibiotic…don’t eat yogurt or cheese…has bacteria in it…doesnt help…or you can eat it like once a week to give you an immune system againt acne…don’t get conditioner on your face…don’t use proacitv…drys out your face and you will break out within a month…it doesnt help with bad acne…but everyone is different…don’t let it hold you back tho…those who matter don’t mind and those who mind don’t matter… hope that helps alyse<3
