How can I get my parents approval?

So what if I’m 14 and he’s 16? He drives. I’ve known him since April and I know he’s different. Just because a lot of 16 year olds are immature, rude, careless, and focused on sex only doesn’t mean ALL of them are. And he’s definitely not like that. I know he’s different, and don’t try telling me it’s part of the game he’s playing to get me to trust him so he can use me, because he’s not like that. You don’t know him. And I do. My parents like him, but when I ask for him to take me somewhere they flip out on me. Me and him are just friends. All we want to do is hang out. We haven’t seen eachother since June and he still likes me a lot so obviously he’s not after me for sex. He would never hurt me physically.

What can I do to convince my parents to let me drive with him?

Not a good idea to drive you around. At 16 no matter what, he still lacks the driving experience needed.

Have him over for dinner or something so they can get to know him. If he’s as great as you say, he’ll try his best to impress him. When your parents see how safe he is, they’ll realize you can drive with him. Remember STAY CALM & MATURE. Your parents will be less likely to allow you if you whine or if you’re constantly deffensive. Good luck! (:
