The thing about getting a dog when you’re a teenager is you’re not going to be around when the dog is living out the last half of it’s life…it then becomes mom and dad’s dog.

Getting a dog has to be a “family want”…not just one person in the family, since the dog will be living as a family member…EVERYONE has to be involved…

Well I think every teenager has this problem of convincing their parents into things. mabye you should do some extra work around the house and pull your grades up. when they see improvement,im sure they will be convinced that you are responsible. hope this helps hun! good luckkk! :)

I have a puppy and trust me, it’s a TON of work. They pee and poop a lot and they chew on things. But if you are willing to clean after it, you can provw to your parents by doing a few things around your house. You could clean, do the dishes, clean your room without being asked. There are a ton of things you can do and maybe sooner or later, they will think you are responsible enough.
