How are moles removed, please read?

Hi, im 13 and in 2 weeks I have to get a big mole thats on my stomach removed. it is very big and sticks out a lot and I’m worried about getting it taken off. I have to get it numbed then cut off by a scalpel and I feel sick just thinking about it and my parents insist that I get it off because they think I should get it off because apparently they would if they were me so I asked them to cancel the appointment but they refuse. is it even sore at all?

If your in the United States you have rights as a patient. Its best to look into those, the rights in the state of New York apply to what your saying.

(10) Receive all the information you need to give informed consent for an order not to resuscitate. You also have the right to designate an individual to give this consent for you if you are too ill to do so. If you would like additional information, please ask for a copy of the pamphlet “Do Not Resuscitate Orders — A Guide for Patients and Families.”

(11) Refuse treatment and be told what effect this may have on your health.

I had a big mole removed from my back last month.

They will numb it, most likely with a needle. It will be quick and feel just like any other needle does. This will be the worse part of the whole thing, as you won’t feel the rest.

Then they will cut it off. It’ll just feel a little cool with slight pressure. Before you know it, it’ll be done and over! You’ll wear a bandaid for a few days till is scabs over and keep it dry. Then depending on how big it is, it’ll take a few weeks to heal.

I have a light big spot that is healed over but is continuously getting lighter.

My suggestion is to not wear a shirt you like much. It seems to bleed a lot right afterwards. By the time I drove home, I had bled through the bandage and right through 2 layers of shirt.

if they numb the area you sont feel any pain so no it wont hurt the procedure is very quick, itll be over in a few seconds so dont worry however unlike the first person said, if the mole was cancerouse simply cutting the mole off wont get rid of the cancer if its already spread I doubt your mole is cancerouse though

my boyfriend got one removed. he said it didnt hurt and the procedure was kind of cool. moles can be cancerous, so I suggest you get rid of it. it wasnt a problem for him. though it does leave a small scar like any surgery does.

Answer #5

I think you should just go through with it. It will take all of 5 seconds, and it could save you from a life on cancer.
