How am I supposed to get my stuff back?

Im going through a very tuff time with my dad and im not speaking to him. Some of my stuff is at his house and he wont let me have it back unless I see him. I cant see him because it may have a bad effect on my depression. I need some of my stuff, like my books for studying. im only 14 so he thinks he can get me to do what he wants. Is there anything I can do to get my stuff back?

Honey, you do have to do what he wants. Your not 18 yet, which means that you do. As a child, its best to have your parents in your life even if they do things that we don’t like. If something ever happend to them we would be devastated. My Advice to you, is to really try to work out your problems with your father. Its best to do that, it what God would want to. Yes, things will be hard, but really keep in mind that it is your father. If you don’t feel comphy going there without someone, bring along your mother. I hope my advice helps you. Things will turn out fine. Just give it time, and faith.

Why not try just explaining your situation to him , maybe he can help you with your depression and how you feel. Or if that is completely the wrong thing for you, why not ring a friend and ask them to collect your things or even the authorities can assist you in collecting your belongings if it is a hostile relationship. Hope I helped x

I’m assuming you are living with your mother?

Talk to her about it. She can request a police escort to go to the house and retrieve your belongings.
