a good book or magazine to read, your own pillow, if your going to be their a while, you might relax and sleep better resting on your own comfy pillow, face wipes (to remove makeup, clean hands, ect), maybe a diary to write down your experiences, disposable underwear, maternity bra/nursing bra, any paperwork or documents you’ll need for the hospital, fluffy socks (after all you have to be comfy) and you can get great ones for $2 a pair, travel sized deodorant, hair ties/headband, lip balm, mobile phone and its charger, hard candies like lollypops, loose bathers for the shower, flip flops for the shower, a going home outfit, hairbrush, ear plugs (if you just need some quite time when its noisy), water bottle, spare change for vending machines, pre-natal vitamins… you’ll also want to pack a bag for the baby, including things like warm blankets, nappies, baby cream, baby wipes, bottles, baby clothes, beanie to keep his/her head warm, nursing things, ect, i’m not sure if this last one is needed, but maybe even have a baby seat in your car installed for the ride back from the hospital that’s everything i cant think of, hope it helps and good luck! :)

Answer #13

Slip-on slippers is a must!! Also you could buy or make a baby-blanket, like her first blankie, you can wrap her in it at the hospital and use it as her special blanket. As she grows up she will always have this special cuddly blanket, I think that’s a really nice idea :) You might also want bottled water (just in case the vending machine breaks and there are no nurses free to get you some) and maybe a diary or notebook to document your very first thoughts after (or during…lol) childbirth. It will be nice to look back on, what were your very first thoughts after having her.

Also, I think I’ve mentioned this to you before, but I think it’s a really cool idea to get a playlist of the ‘countdown top 20’ songs off the radio from the day she is born. Put them on a CD and play them at her 18th!
