Horses arent simple domestic animals and they are extremely expensive to not only buy but to care for. If your parents say no, then i would wait until your older and can get one on your own. Legally in most areas you must own ATLEAST one acre of fenced in land per horse. Vetrenarian bills, food, medicine, care for their coats and manes, hooves, etc…its all very expensive and very time consuming.

A LOT.

Horses can vary in prices, from free to millions of dollars. So, I can’t give you an exact cost for a horse. However, you have to buy a lot of things for your horse, and it adds up!

-Hay. -Loose mineral supplement. -Salt block. -Two two cup servings of concentrate per day. -Grooming. -De-wormer every 3 months. -Dentistry once a year. -Annual basic vaccinations of rabies, tetanus, equine influenza, and other routine vaccines.

It’s a very expensive pet, and not the easiest to take care of. I can understand why your parents are saying no.

It really depends on who’s selling it. You can find a horse that you may think is only worth a couple of hundred but someone else may think it to be worth thousands. It’s all a case of buyer beware and just use your common. Hope I was of some help. Much love, Lauren xx
