What is the best home waxing kit to use?

also, any helpful tips? this is my first time

Answer #1

Personally, I like the wax that you have to put in the microwave to heat as opposed to wax strips, they give you more usages. I like using the Nair one, I found it better than the other one I used. Some tips are to ensure it’s not burning :P also, rip it fast, it will hurt, but hurt less than if you rip it slow (that’s like slow torture). Also, spread it in the direction of hair growth. I also found it easier to peel when you spread a thicker layer of wax onto your skin as opposed to a thin layer, thin layers end up being hard to peel.

I make my own sugar wax using 1 Cup Sugar, 2 Tablespoons water and 2 Tablespoons lemon juice. There is no need for strips, you just simmer till the mixture turns golden brown, let it cool til you can put it on your skin, spread a thin later on and pres it down on your skin, wait 30 seconds and pull it off quickly in opposite direction to hair growth. Works better than any at home waxing kits I have ever used.

Agreed with Janicee. I use the Nair microwave wax too and I’ve never had a problem with it. I find it doesn’t hurt as much as other wax types. A tip is if you do use it, simmer it in water rather than microwaving it. I find it is better and leave the lid off too. It is less painful to use thick layers. They cone off easy and dont hurt as much as thin layers do.
