How should I apply my makeup?

The best makeup I’ve ever used is Bare Minerals. It is expensive, but my skin looks so much better. It really makes a huge difference. I think experimenting with the different looks (you know, like the Loreal ones theydo in the commercial with the butterflies), but for school or just hanging out, less is better. If you line the entire eye, you close it in. Try using a dark liner just on the lash line. Then, based on eye color, go from there. I have hazel/green eyes and wear a lot of purples and lavenders, but not real heavy. I want people to see me, not my makeup. As lost wife said above, your eyes are really important. The Cat-Eye look (like Amy Winehouse) is interesting, but really in your face. It depends on what you want, but experiment and don’s say “I can’t wear that color eyeshadow). It’s also pretty if you take a color close to the color on the lid and apply it with a soft brush to the lower lashes. Doesn’t create a “liner” effect, but does accent the color. Also, a little white shadow in the corner of each eye by the nose (blended in, of course.) Opens the eye right up. Also, save the heavy lip color for night and try some of the see-thru glosses. Metallic shadows are good and sometimes, I will put a color on and then a line on my lid running up and down in gold right in the center of the lid, and of course, mascara. Curl your lashes first and the new Mabyelline XXX with fibers (a while side you apply to the lashes first before the mascara), and when you apply the mascara, the white stuff you used really makes every lash stand out. I usually only do my top lashes. Hope this helps. I’ll bet you are pretty enough to not even need makeup.
