Hitachi Rear Projection Color TV

I have a Hitachi Rear Projection Color Tv. The last time I truned it on, the Tv Screen had a shadow of green and you could bearly see it! I called Hitachi and they told me it was one of the lights inside of the Tv. Because these Tv have a mirror on the top and have three lights (red, blue and green) on the bottom. I would like to know the name of those lights. Could someone please give me the name of it so I can buy it online. Thank you! And… if you now a website I can buy it on (and that won’t rip me off!) please tell me!

I have a Hitachi Rear Projection Color Tv. and having the exact problem with the very slight green shadow. does it really shows the defect when text is up on screen? Been told by others that the green crt may be bad. If you get yours repaired can you let me know what they did and the $$cost. Thanks

You could go back to the store you bought it from and ask about a replacement?

If you go to the Google Shopping page and type in “RPTV lamps,” you’ll get a number of results from reliable vendors. Google has rating systems for all its vendors, so you can feel confident that you won’t be ripped off.

Without the model number of the television, it would be difficult to point you to a specific vendor for a specific lamp.
