His will?

I’m a christian… But I’m confused on how do I know what God’s will is for my life?

It feels like whenever I’m on the right track and things are great, and I feel like God is in control.., everything goes all wrong and I feel as lost as ever

Answer #1

There isn’t a god…

Answer #2

Well God’s Will on your life doesnt have to include just good things, it is also his will that you experience some tests or trials so you can learn from them and take steps forward. So honestly be positive and what I believe is everything happens for a reason whatever it is and that is God’s will. Just has humans we find it hard to understand why and what are the reasons, but mostly it is to learn lessons and how to improve things.

Answer #3

You need the assurance of your salvation, before you attempt to find Gods will for your life. The more you study the word, the more assurance you will have, and eventually, you will begin to learn how God leads us into what he has for us. Time and maturity will help in this area.

We ALL, Christian or not have our ups and downs - as Christian’s we have the assurance/knowledge the Christ is with us in the peaks and the valley’s - all of us, even the preacher at times feels further away in our relationship with Him but the Lord is never-changing, always there regardless (Hebrews 13:5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee) - (Matthew 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, >> I am with you alway <<, even unto the end of the world) - so we can lean on His wonderful promises - things get tough in this life but just remember…you’ve been bought with a price - None can take that from you for your name has been recorded in the Book of Life, (Revelation 3:5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels)…you’re Heaven-Bound, Amen !!

Answer #6

You always have to choose what’s right for yourself. things will go wrong at times, but it’s your choice on whether it gets better or worse. God is not in control of our lives, you’re in control of your own life. God is here to help us.. and in tought situations that you may feel completely helpless in, you must learn from it. He’s there watching you find your way out on your own and giving you a chance. he can’t do everything for you.. you can’t learn that way.. just pray and he’ll be by your side forever.

Answer #7

Answer #8

Sadly, the Urim and Thummim* were lost long ago. There is no longer any way of knowing God’s will. You’ll just have to live your life I guess.

*(for bonus points, how many Christians here know what these are…)

Answer #9

There are so many things in life that we have to make decisions for. Marriage, job and financial situations, children, church… but thankfully God has dominion over everything and has complete control over our lives. Yes, we can do something that is against the will of God, but He can always make it right if we let Him. Just pray and ask God for direction. Read your bible faithfully and He will show you an answer. And remember, nothing is too big for God. I can do all things through Christ who stregthens me!!!

Answer #10

“It feels like whenever I’m on the right track and things are great, and I feel like God is in control.., everything goes all wrong and I feel as lost as ever “

That should tell you that there probably is no god, or at a minimum, he is not concerned with ever aspect of every persons life. Look to yourself for the answers. You are real and tangible, god is just a concept.

Answer #11

That was a Christian asking a doubt. I don’t understand why these atheists come poke their nose here. I request all you atheists if you some kind of moral sense please do not poke your nose where it is obvious that a Christian is seeking for help.

Answer #12

Request all you want. Advice was asked, and advice was given. Just because you don’t like my advice does not make it any less valuable than yours. If a non-believer were here asking for advice about god, you would immediately tell him how to find JAYSUS. But a believer having doubts is supposed to be off-limits to a non-believers advice? How open minded of you…

You use the word obvious a lot.
