Hip piercings?

Ok I’m getting microdermals on my hip instead of a surface bar. How much would it cost? And how long is the healing time? I can wash it with h2ocean can’t I?

Answer #1

They migrate out just like barbells. (They do not always migrate out.) But they are a bigger responsability. Use a warm cloth up to 4 times a day, fill a shot glass with sea salt and soak twice daily, and use a saline solution up to twice a day. (All piercers give differant advice.) I have always charged 120 per piercing using a dermal anchor and for two I charged 200. (But I worked in a big city. So most places will be cheaper.) Please remember that they look better than barbells but they are not as easy to remove and should only be removed by a professional. Also please tip your piercer.

The cost will depend on the tattoo/piercing place you have it done at and what their standards are. You might want to call ahead of time to check so you know about how much it’ll be. When you have it done, ask the piercer what they would suggest using to clean it with - that way your sure your using the correct stuff. You can also ask them about the healing process, I’m sure they’ll be able to help you with all you need to know.

Answer #3

Not sure about the cost, but I hear it’s more expansive than surface bars. I was planning on getting them, but im holding off so I can get “prayer piercings”. You can wash with H2Ocean Spray, but other things would work a lot better. H2Ocean Spray is cold and it’s better to wash with something warm so making your own saline solution with sea salt and warm water would do better. Microdermals have a lower rejection rate than surface piercings do, but I like the look of surface piercings more. :D Have Fun!

Answer #8

I got mine done 70 for one and 30 on each one after that. Well right now mines really sore on one just one of them on my left side. It felt swollen so I squaze it, and yellow puss came out around the edges. Is that bad? I clean them a lot, and the right side is doing great. But the person who done mine said to clean it with saline solution, and wear bandads for 2 weeks over them when I go to bed, but I don’t now. I only did on like the first night. And I just got them done about 4 days ago. Could that be the problem that I am not wearing bandads and maybe I hit them a lot when I sleep?
