How can I make my highlights more obvious?

My hairdresser highlighted my blonde hair and it was too light for me.She toned it down and now my hair looks like my original color.She said it would wash out and the highlights would show again.Someone told me to use Blue Dawn dish liquid to wash a couple of times and it would strip toner and show highlights again.Is this true or should I do something else to get highlights to be more obvious again? Thanks

i would give it about a 3 to 4 weeks and see if the color has faded from your hilights and if it dont fade with in those weeks give her a call.

I’m not sure if this works or not, but there’s this trick I heard in a magazine where you spray vinegar on your hair, then go out in the sun for a couple of hours. Supposidly, the vinegar is supposed to bring out highlights. Do this with caution, because I’m not sure if it works. Oh yeah, I wouldn’t ressommend that dish soap thing, because that will dry your hair and make it brittle. Your hair is probably already damaged since you got it highlighted.
