Is high school as bad as people say it is? I'm going to be a freshman this school year, and I'm a bit worried. I've heard people say its going to be worse then hell. Is there any chance that it's not as bad as it seems it will be?
The schoolwork is harder and tougher than middle school definitely, but if you prepare yourself and make sure you pay attention in class no matter what high school will be a breeze. Especially once you've gotten all of your credits then the rest is just fun! It's not scary at all, upperclassmen don't pick on or beat up underclassmen that's just a rumor. Unless you're in an absolutely bad school. They don't do anything except call you stupid freshmen. That's it, lol you get used to it after a while.
Hope I helped!
Ok well I will be a senior in high school this year and freshman year isn't that bad, I mean ya you have different classes and are probably going to a bigger school, but it is really a breeze, and you get a chance to make new friends and it is fun because the teachers are usually kind of easy going the first week if you are late and such because you are a freshman, but really don't worry about it high school is fun for the most part.
just the work, yeah.sure is hard, but just pay close attention to lectures, discussions and all that stuff, keep your time well-budgeted, eat well, and get a good night's sleep(I've personally proven that a balanced diet and enough sleep can improve your mental alertness)and don't ever give in easily to peer pressure.don't do something just because it's a fad, or your friends are telling you to do it.
hope this helps=D
Subjects are harder, but then I'm sure you expect that. Your fellow students will actually be a bit better than middle school. Unless a student is unwilling to adjust, then they might have a problem. I'm guessing that you will be fine. Good Luck!!
btw.my older sister&brother(both in college), my former teachers and even my parents say that high school's going to be the best 4 years of your life.
=D
I just graduated and its not as bad as everyone makes it out to be. The students can be harsh but the works not hard. you'll make it.
