What is the best cure for hiccups that you know of?

This hiccup cure works for me everytime. Ask someone to look you in the eye, point their finger like a mother scolding a child and demand for you to hiccup. “Hiccup! Right now! You heard me, hiccup”! Repeatedly, Make sure it’s in a firm, scolding tone. Works within a minute. I thought it was something for me personally because I am so headstrong and hate being told what to do, but I just tried it on my 17 yr. old daughter who has had the hiccups for the last 3 hours and it worked instantly. She is still amazed.

gripe water……..I dunno if they sell that anymore, been a while since I was a kid and hiccuped all the time……..or any combination of Fennel and ginger……..actually water works well also, or hold your breath, the last one works best for me (drinking something)……

drink coke or any fizzy drink. A sip will do, I had the hiccups just a few hours ago.

If you concentrate on your breathing it helps alot. In and out in and out making sure that both in and out are even.

Yesterday I had the hiccups in a gas station, and the guy at the counter told me that lemon juice works to get rid of them. I didn’t get to try it, but he seemed pretty convinced that it worked. Wouldn’t hurt to try!
