What is implantation and when does it start?

No such word as “implation”. I think you mean implantation. Implantation in this sense is when the fertilized egg attaches itself to the uterine lining in your womb. There is usually a small amout of blood released at this time from the lining, and the release is called implantation bleeding, but the amount is small and either not noticed or mistaken for menstral spotting.

Mid cycle spotting might be implantation bleeding, or an early starting cycle, or bleeding after inter course, or some other reason.
