Help with finals...
ok im studying for my finals an im trying to remember how to find intercepts… can you help?
How bout this problem FIND THE X AND why INTERCEPTS ( , )( , ) -2x+4y=8
lol, I’m going to try not be insulting, but because there was absolutely no math logic to what she did? a number before an x or a “y” does not mean the x or the “y” equates that number…
uhm whoever said the simplest answer was the right one, would be wrong in this case…
so what is they “x” intercept and what is the “y” intercept, its when why and x are 0 respectively… so, you try and find that…
-2x+4y=8
- simplify equation, divide whole thing by 2
-x + 2y = 4
2y = x + 4
- find y, when x = 0
2y = 0 + 4 2y = 4 y = 2
- find x, when y = 0
0 = x + 4 x = -4
oh sorry, everybody! ty has the correct answer. once again I am very sorry!
x=-2 and y=1. ummm kind of a simple problem!!! EX: -2 x -2=4/ 4 x 1 =4 4+4=8!!
