Is it possible I can be pregnant?

I had unprotected like 5 day brfore my period. I usually get my period on the 13 but this month I got it on the 9th. Is it possiable I can be pregnant still?

I think it’s too late for this, but IF the sex was within the last 72 hrs, you can use EC (emergency contraception) pill(s) to prevent pregnancy. They are available over the counter in many states. (Here in PA, “Plan B” is available on demand at the pharmacy counter of WalMart or most any drug store, or Planned Parenthood). EC is 75-85% effective, depending on several factors.

I think that you are saying that you had sex, then 5 days later had your period. In that case you are probably not pregnant, but to be sure, take a home pregnancy test. Get a good quality test and follow its instructions.

Now that you are sexually active, it’s time to go to a doctor for pap smears and general checkup anyway. Although you may be already doing this.

In any event you have need to get yourself on birth control in the future. Pills, patches, injections, or condoms. But as sue90 notes, there are STD’s out there, and only condoms protect against them.

Dear deep, Yes it is very possible. You need to have a pregnancy test, STD test as well. Never have unprotected sex…NEVER! Sue…good luck
