Anybody have any suggestions on how to deal with this? Raven gloved his bacl left leg down to the tendon, and my A** Hole vet cant come out till monday. I keep cold hosing it and cleaned it and wrapped it got and antibiotic also, but this is the worst I’ve ever seen!!! He is walking on it fine, but I want to keep it clean Do I keep it wrapped or do I let it air? You can see the tendon move and all the fat around it but there is nothing that can be stiched. Any other ideas PLEASE HELP ME HELP RAVEN!!!

all right pal calm down, if it’s that bad all you gotta do is keep pressure applied to the little guy and keep him off it till the so called A** hole doctor gets there on monday.

That is a med at the horse supply place that is called “Cut and Heal” When you go to apply you need to be careful. Only use the swab and only apply to the wound. When you apply wash it well until it bleeds. Put the CUT and Heal on and in 4 or 5 hours wash it out again and start over, When you have something you can’t sew this works well but you don’t want to get it anywhere but on the wound. This is were people mess up using this. It is great stuff. Don’t pour it on!!!

When you put it on don’t get any of the Cut and Heal on the hair our it will burn and blister the skin and hair

I’d try calling another vet, that’s for sure…until then…

Keep him contained (a stall, if you can…), or shrink up a corral with panels… You’re doin’ great keeping it clean and wrapped…Are you able to buy antibiotics and syringes from a Farm Supply store, where you’re located?? You can find the dosage/weight ratio on the internet…Ampecillian is what I’d use…

Sending positive thoughts and a prayer…
