Hi princexx good luck for your interview I have worked in many restaurants in my younger years as a wait person, supervisor, manager and functions coordinator.

Within the tell me about yourself questions they are looking for areas of your answer that shows commitment dedication and shows off the positive points of your personality. Tell them about any team sports you may be involved in, (if your not into sport you can be naughty and make one up - just be sure to research the sport before hand so you dont get caught our on any follow up questions) sports show you are a team player and have energy and commitment.

I always come into a interview situation with a soft but strong voice I smile a lot and keep eye contact. Tell them about your passion for the position and your reasoning for wanting to become employed in the industry.

Its an obvious one - but be well dressed. For a hospitality position pull your hair back in the interview. Wear a long business like skirt no shorter then the knee and a collared shirt.

Take some of these sample questions and rehearse them it also better to have a few previous situations where you have had to handle certain situations in your head before you enter the interview.

Depending on how much experience they expect you to have - They may ask you to describe a previous situation where you have had to handle a difficult customer or a customer concern. They will then ask you to discuss how you handled the situation and how you turned this around.

If it is just an entry level position they may ask you to discuss a previous situation at school or at home where you have had to handle confrontation.

They may also ask you how you handle time restraints they may ask you to discuss a previous situation where you have been given a time limit or schedule and how you handled and planned your time accordingly.

Funmail me if you need any other help - otherwise just go there confident and remember if you feel to nervous just take a few moments to breath you’de be suprised how much this helps :) good luck you will do great!

If you dont want to talk about then dont say anything. but if they ask you how long have you been in schoo then you could tell them. but I doubt they will ask you.

interviews are cake, don’t work yourself up so much. Just think about the traits that you have that would benefit the job. Be as vauge as possible until they narrow the questions down. Oh ya, im a hard worker and very deticated, im interested in this position because… just don’t overthink it. you’ll do fine
