How can I stop my hair from going orange when bleaching?

How do I stop my hair from going orange when i try to bleach it blond?..My hair is dark brown and want to do it myself…please help my grade is in 3 weeks.

Answer #1

Don’t bleach it, just dye it over and over until you get the right color, but after that your hair might be dried out and you’ll have to use conditioner for a couple of weeks

Answer #2

Use a cream bleach like Jolen and leave it in long enough to go blond. Do a search here on funadvice for Jolen and see if you can find the other posts that address how long to leave it in for to get the desired effect.

Answer #3

i think that people should be happy with the natrual color of their hair. people dont realize that your hair is on your genes to match your skin and eye colour. anyways, blond hair shows roots alot, and really bad too.

if you are really unhappy with your hair color, than mabye you could dye it light blonde, and it will not turn orange, and it will look more natrual

Answer #4

actually I’ve had the same problem, my hair is naturally brunette and I’ve tried for blonde, if you dye it every month or so it should eventually lighten to blonde without the red tones usually if you use bleach from the salons and leave it in for the longest time recommended it becomes more of the color your looking for or you can buy hair color I recommend an ash color like ash blonde which helps with taking the red tones out of your hair I hope that helped
