Still on my period

Ok I had my baby in january of this year on the 7th.and she 4 months now.recently I’ve been on my period for 4weeks now and im still on it! Does anyone know what could be wrong with me,I called my doctor and they said its not normal!

I do not have any babies or anything so I’m not that experienced in this. lol But I read that after you start your period again after having a baby, it will last up to 6 weeks! Thats horrible! lol

Sad to say, but yes, it is normal! The same thing happened to me and my doc said to wait it out. That my body was still adjusting its hormone levels. Are you on birth control? That may help straighten you out…or if you’re on it, that could be one of the reasons you’re still bleeding though…It’s horrible, but it could take up to a year to level out since that’s about how long it takes for a female body to heal completely from childbirth.
