help dog on the loose

my dog keeps running away and I do not know where he goes but he comes back at night should I be worried?

I wouldn’t recommend a chain…it can cause extreme agitation and aggressive behavior in otherwise calm dogs. A large area with a fence would be your best bet, after getting him neutered. God knows how many unwanted puppies he’s causing.

If your dog isn’t spayed/neutered, it’s likely running away to find a mate…if it’s a female, expect puppies…I’d suggest spaying / neutering so he doesn’t wander anymore.

If your dog isn’t inside with you, he really should be on a chain or in a fence. If he trespasses onto another person’s property and harms another pet or person, it’ll be bye-bye doggy. Not to mention, if he’s out running around, he could get hit by a car or even stolen or lost. Your dog should be under your control at all times.
