How can you get rid of a hickey or cover one up.

Just wondering how can you a get rid of a hickey.or b cover one up. It’s not like I’m gonna get in trouble or anything I’m 18 and me and my boyfriends been together for 3years.it happens-whatever.you know? I just think they look really tacky but like I said sometimes they happen…

A hickey is broken blood vessels- it’s a bruise. Ice will help it from getting worse (best to be done immediately… but like THAT’S going to happen… ;) For a red or purple hickey you are going to want to first put a light coating of liquid/cream foundation over it, then a light dusting of a green eyeshadow. Don’t use metallic and it’s best to use a lighter shade. Think of the color wheel- you want to use opposite colors to make a ‘brown’ tone… Then add a bit of powder foundation/cover-up and you should be good to go

For a green/yellow tinted bruise, you’ll want to do the same steps only with a pinkish eyeshadow (or blusher).

For a blue bruise (you shouldn’t ever need this one, blue hickeys would indicate pretty significant vessel damage)- orange works best.

I’ve had to cover up some pretty disgusting bruises from sports for formals and such- these techniques work pretty darn well. I’ve never put enough make-up on to fully hide the bruise, but this way definitely lightens it. I’m sure if you really wanted to hide it completely, you could.
