Ps3, it wont let me update it

Hey fanks braver, but I have hooked up mah wired connection to the modem to mah ps3, it wont let me update it…also I tried the download into a usb, tried it didnt work man so im so pissed off rite now, fanks anyways need more help please…

it’s an 80 gb, it prompt me to update when I 1st turn it on, I don’t noe what to do…fanks for da help man appriciate it

My PS3 didn’t prompt me to update the system until I attempted to set up an online match playing a game called “The Darkness”. The game isn’t relevant here. Which gb system do you have, 40, 60, 80, 120, 160? Answer via comment on my profile. I’ll help you as much as I can and if I can’t then I’ll give you direction to someone who can.
