Answer #1

Sorry for the double post bytheway, totally accidental haha.

Answer #2

you don’t need to label yourself, just be yourself not a stereotype, if someone labels you just say your just being you. I hate labels and stuff I get called almost every label when im just being myself. hoped this helped

Answer #3

You could be a Rocker to start out with, that’s what I started with before I turned Goth, ask some fellow Rockers in your area, all Rockers are different.

Answer #4

We’re a lot a like. You know what I think is awesome? Dye your hair a mahogany or redish color and do some black highlights. Its totally punk and im planning on doing it myself! if your that into punk and metal wear a lot of black and sometimes put ONE chain on your belt loops. And maybe even get one of those black shirts with the fishnet style sleeves. Those are pretty cool too :)

I encourage you to not fall into the mainstream trap of “punk” “goth” “prep”, etc.

Look, I hate to be another ‘oooh labels I hate labels omg’ whiner, but honestly, that’s tacky and makes you look like you’re trying to hard to project an image, and the way it’s perceived may have not crossed your mind: people think its a costume, a product of a semi-intelligent breed buying into the circulating (incorrect) Hot Topic notion of non-comformism. Believe it or not, same with overly-trendy teens that come off childish, dependent and insecure. People read into what you wear more than you see.

If you really want your own style, try finding yourself. It takes a while (took me like five years) and it isn’t the easy route..but in the end, it’s well worth it. Think what certain things mean to you. Communicate your views to the world. Your personality. Try a shopcart approach. You see something that looks good, incorporate it into your style. Being under one ‘label’ is so bland and limiting. Look at other things for inspiration (time periods, gender-specific clothing, styles). You may mix 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, to right now. For instance, layering a solid flannel button up loose collared shirt(left open) with a now Charlotte Russe laced tank top and plain jeans, would go great even though less than 10% of the population’s worn solid flannel in like thirty years. This sounds like a poverty option, but since most of today’s stores don’t have unique clothing, thrift stores can be great sometimes for the vintage aspect. I think a “laid back” outfit/style is always a great option. It conveys to others that you’re chill, but your own person. Tone yourself down. Don’t try so hard, just let it come easy. Be comfortable in what you’re wearing. Less is more (not in fabricwise, lol)

Accessories are great to put an outfit together. Girls usually have good instinct over what fits right, what looks hideous, what is tacky and what’s too much.

People who deliberately try/call themselves a particular label are usually the biggest fools that everyone scoffs at.

Well, by the look of your picture you look like you could pull of a punk look. I am pretty punk my self so if your into the punk look then … you could try skinny jeans, and dont worry if your not really skinny everybody can work skinny jeans also if you really wanna go wild you could do acid wash skinny jeans.and always never match, throw togather crazy colors, have fun with your look.lots of neon colors-lime green hot pink electric blue.but if your embarassed to wear it in front of certian people, its propbaly not your thing. Hope my answer helped you find a cool style to work.
