Help 3 dogs!

I have 3 dogs that I love 2 are pitbulls and 1 is a cocker spaniel 1 of the pits is agressive towards other animals but loves people and would not hurt a person the other pit we have loves animals and people but she is a big brute and jumps frequently to the point where she could hurt some one the cocker is small but she is possesive over things. I can keep the cocker and one of the pits together without a problem but together they are just a big ball of energy and time. I want to have kids but I cant afford ony of them hurt my baby I love them all but if I were to give the aggressive pit she would be put down because she is older and she is very scarred from previous fights she was a rescued dog she loves people keep that in mind what can I do my husband wont give any them away and I have said that I want to have a baby but he says we cant afford it but we can afford 3 dogs please help!

You have a mix on your hands and it sounds like the Cocker wil get the worst of it. Will your husband let you find a good home for any of them. Or can you appeal to him on the angle of selling them and getting money for the dogs.

If he will not let you get rid of any of the dogs then you need to start training them. Take them to a dog school, you need to start taking the time to train your dogs. If you can’t afford to take them to school, you will have to train them

If you are not sure how to train them Go to your local library and find some books on training and working with your dogs. The library is full of dog books. Dog have their on section. I come home every time I go to the library with and arm load of dog books. They even have taped and CD’s on dog training and many are dog specific, meaning exclusively for your breed of dog and working with it.

It takes love and time to train a dog but they will reward you. Dogs love to learn. They love the attention they get when they are being taught.

Good luck but I will say that training your dogs will open up the patience you need to have when you have your baby. Get baby books at the library too.

How old is the older girl? Maybe you can just wait till you don’t have to worry about what to do with her?

I can tell ya, from this end of the life cycle, that had my “husband” ever suggested that I get rid of my dogs, because HE wanted a baby (especially if he was in his early 20’s)…I might have done it…BUT, I’d resented the hell out of him for a VERY LONG TIME…

3 or 4 years isn’t very long if things are good…it’s a prison sentence if things aren’t good!
