Heartbroken boyfriend toying with my emotions

my ex has a thing for my bestfriend. he said he was going to kill himself today. he made it verry convincing. I was begging him for an hour to tell me what was going on and not to kill himself and that if he wouldent tell me now what was going on that I would always be there for him. after an hour and a half. he told me he wasent going to kill himself but that he had to get off. he wrote a long appologie to my best friend. but dident give a Sh*about me. ( I broke up with him becuase I thought he really likeed anouther girl but was afraid to hurt me.) do you think I deserve this???so now I’m hear heartbroken. and I need somthing to cheer me up. do you have anyideas. usually music helps a lot. thanks everyone.
