Is it harmful to open a bag of Lipton tea and eat the raw tea leaves?

i reeeaalllllyyyy like eating tea and drinking tea, i reallly cant stop eating it, i love it but my friend says its not the safest thing to do… is it?

I don’t think it would do anything bad as long as it is raw tea leaves or powder with no additives.Actually it will be good if you use green tea. It will give you extra fiber and raw tea is packed with antioxidants. They sell green tea pills that you swallow and in the directions it say you can open the capsules and make tea. It also say that the ingredients are raw tea leaves finely grinded.
