Why do they have a do not remove tag on mattresses?

Have you ever wondered why they put the “do not remove under penalty of law” tags a mattress. Like really now…who is going to know?!?

Answer #1

Yeah I remember when I was a kid taking the tag off my mattress and then I asked my mom about it. It only applies before the mattress is sold, so once you buy it it’s fine to take it off.

Simply a Rose to brighten your day,         And maybe lessen the cares in your way;         And also, too, to help you to know,         That in knowing you, many others grow!

It is because the tag identifies the content that makes up the mattress. I believe it was a law that prevented mattress sellers from selling mattresses with improper ingredients.

Answer #3

That is only for the stores/factories where the matress is sold/made.

I don’t know but I really have wondered why
