Have they studied anything?

hey there .. Can anyone tell me whether succesful djs & music producers like tiesto, ferry corsten, john digweed, etc studied anything about music in their past? I have searched for their bios and I couldn’t find such thing.

To be honest with you no! Speaking from experience and years of learning Music Technology and producing records. Most dance music artists get famous by either making a record and get promoting on the internet or as the last few decades has been a who you know rather than a what you know basis. You may be the most annyoing person but one day make friends with an A&R person or promoter or record label manager alike and as you follow them you learn all the tricks of the trade and get to know all the people who can get you famous. Or you can do the most longest thing, to study years and then do that. At least it shows you have genuine intrest. Most Artists and dj’s fall into it by accident!! Simply again because there right there in the moment with the right people. Anyway sorry to waffle :P :)
