hating my job

It really depends on the area you live in… I used to know a girl that worked as a waitress at a locally owned restaurant when she was 15.

Actually I am job searching right now but don’t want to work in a supermarket or fast foods (been there done that) although I might just go to a supermarket again until I can start study next year. I hated both my jobs… hell, at supermarket I was trolleyboy, checkout and did frozen/chilled goods. Each has it’s good and it’s bad points.

Maybe try a different department? Try a restaurant and be a waiter or kitchen person? Or cinema? If you don’t like supermarket then you will most probably not like the fast food. If your leaving school you have more options for jobs such as a labourer for a tradesperson or something that may pay more and have nicer hours. Just don’t leave school unless your are absolutely sure thats what you want to do.

Well, what is it that you don’t like? Is it the standing or maybe the repetition? Is it the having to deal with the customers? Are you going to school and planning on finishing? If you quit school to go to work, odds are that you will always work at places like the store. There are a lot of factors here. Is there a school counselor that you can talk to or some other professional? That may help.

Try fast-food restaurants. I did work for BurgerKing when I was 15. The only thing I hate about working in a fast-food restaurant is the need of being fast. I guess that’s why its called FAST-food restaurant.
