What happened to my WMV files?

I downloaded a converter to convert my WMV files into MPEGS so I could put my videos on my iPod touch. That worked fine but now all of the WMV files have turned into AVI video clips. They don’t work in Windows Media Player anymore. I went to upload some new videos from my camera and they are showing as AVI video clips while they are still on the camera. What happened? Is it because Apple hates PCs? Can I get a AVI to WMV converter? Will that solve the problem?

well i dont know what converter you used but that is not the problem here, your files are not converted they just have their thumbnail picture changed….

anyway, uninstall that converter and install these: K-Lite mega codec pack : http://funadvice.com/r/15u5ij4kimb a free MP4 converter : http://funadvice.com/r/15u5ij4qq1c

easily fix any codec problems you have and the converter works best (i tested like 10+ others and i liked this one best)

now it shouldn’t matter what player you use, you can open any file :3
