Where can I get my hands on a good Cat-6 cable stretcher?

I have a bunch of 3 foot cables and I want to make them 6 foot cause they are worth more. I feel if I do this I could have the cable stretcher paid off in no time.

Answer #1

if you go to home depot they are in the window section, right next to the window stretchers, if you get a generic one it will only cost you about $250.00. the board stretchers are there as well in the same aisle- i guess they have a theme going.

they are all good tools to have and ahve saved my friend in the construction business a lot of money in the long run, a housing inspector can’t tell the diffeence between anything that has been manufactured or stretched.

Answer #2

Do you hate it when you cut just to much off that board, the board stretcher would be a great tool.

Answer #3

yes it is the same principal with the cable stretcher. and you are correct - the stretchers do you save you money. yes i hate it when the board is too short- i used to use the ‘soak the board in a bucket of water’ method but it would take too long to grow it out to the proper length. the stretchers that my friend has get used quite a bit.

Good show, lol.

I’d like to recommend you to bus Wireless-LAN cables next time. Cat-6 Ethernet cables are soooo last week. The W-LAN cable is almost invisible and you can hide it in your carpet so granny will not trip over it. And it’s cheap. I’ll sell you a 6 foot W-LAN cable for 2,99$ only.

bus||buy

Answer #7

That sound very high tech though, and do you need frequency grease?

Answer #8

That depends on whether you have interference fields in your home. And of course on the relative dampness of the moon on the present orbitation phase. I’d try to measure it with a frequence shamble-o-meter. Those are available in almost ever well-sorted electronics market.
