Is there a cure for halitosis?

Is there a cure for halitosis??

Answer #1

making SURE you brush your tongue when you brushing your teeth can help fight it. use the PURPLE listerine..[purple because that’s my fave color and I use it daily lmao] :)

Answer #2

It depends on WHY you have halitosis. Some people get it from bad sinuses, others from not brushing correctly, others from not flossing properly.

So the first step towards curing it is to find out WHY you have it.

Answer #3

well seeing as that is also known as “bad breath” yes there is a cure. brush and floss twice daily. dont forget that when your brushing to brush your tounge as well as bacteria lives on it and causes bad breath. aslo when your finished use ACT mouth wash as it is better than mouth wash that has alcohol in it.

Answer #4

if these common and widely known cures dont help then you can also try the following… Unripe guava is useful in halitosis. It is rich in tannic, malic, oxalic, and phosphoric acids as well as calcium, oxalate, and manganese. Chewing it is an excellent tonic for the teeth and gums. It helps cure bleeding from gums and stops bad breath. Chewing tender leaves of guava tree also stops bleeding from gums and bad breath. Another effective remedy for bad breath is avocado, which is far superior to any mouth lotion or remedies for this condition. It effectively removes intestinal putrefaction or decomposition which is one of the most important causes of bad breath. * also try drinking V8 type juices, it has been known to help too. if none of these things work, you may have an infection in either your respitory tract or intestines, and should seek medical attention

Answer #5

tounge scraping should help.

Answer #6

I agree with the answer of maletoa69. The causes of halitosis are numerous. He has highlighted a few (guava/avocado)which basically help in cleansing the intestines of body waste which, if not evacuated, results in halitosis. I would add to these two, fennel seeds used in Asian countries for digestion after meal . Most people think that good oral hygiene takes care of halitosis, but forget that internal cleanliness is another common cause for the condition. Oral hygiene, combined with complete bowel movement, go a long way to reduce halitosis, but there cannot be a total ‘cure’ for halitosis.
