my hair is medium brown.I just went to the salon and wanted some caramel highlights. after the stylist was done, I ended up with a full head of really blonde highlights. can I buy some store bought dye and just dye my hair brown again. help

Yes you can. Just go to the beauty supply and get a color as close as possible to the brown you had before or the one you want. Since you are not trying to go lighter make sure you a 10 volume cream developper that just deposits color into your hair without lifting. The good news for you is that since you already have really blonde highlights they will most likely get somewhat covered by the brown you are going to use and turn darker probably a color closer to your liking.

Tip: If you are unsure of anything I have written here you can ask the people at the beauty supply they are usually a great help and more than happy to give advice. Beware though some will try to push products on you that you won’t need. All you need is on here and it is really up to you if you decide to spend on anything else.

Another thing this process is very easy. You really don’t need a professional’s help. To save money do it yourself. Buy a coloring brush and bowl. Mix according to the directions on the back of the color tube not the cream developer (the ratio is usually one part dye to two parts developer). Then have someone apply it on all the hair head (you can really even apply it yourself). Leave in for about 45 minutes and wash it out.

Hope this helps! :)
