How can I have a young, funky hairstyle?

I am almost 53 and feel about 33 and want a really funky hairstyle and colour[s]. My hair is fine and wavy but it takes a lot of work to get it looking cool. What advice do you give

The best thing to do is just go to a hair stylest and tell exacly what you want, you said you wanted a young funky hair style, then tell them that! It will take a while to find a hair stylest you really like but once you find them it is good, my hair stylest i can just walk in and say suprise me and they will know what i want. All you have to do is go to a hair stylest and tell them EXACLY what you want! Trust me i will work! Good Luck!

Dear lavender, It is very difficult to find hair styles as we get older. Society tells us to keep it short but when we feel young we want to look younger. Thinning hair can be a problem when dealing with the younger styles. From your pic I might go a bit lighter and leave it grow in a bit. That way you can pull it back on the sides with some glittery buckles or combs. Sue…good luck
