Hair streaking help?

Okay so im going to dye my hair this medium golden brown color, which is only about a shade or two darker than my natural color. And my mom is going to do red streaks in it for me. cause it costs too much to get it professionaly done. Since she has never done this before im a little worried it wont turn out right. Any tips on how to apply them so that there even? (also I want the highlights to be throughout the hair, not just on the top layer).

I’m guessing your hair hasn’t been colored before so just find a professional looking hair dye from the store and follow the directions. Seriously. And when I do my friends hair(color their hair) I do it in layers to make sure it’s all even so start from the bottom and have her work her way up. Adding the highlights as she goes.

im a hair stylist and i would prefer you get them professionally done because once u go red its so hard to get rid. plus if color leaks u will have red spots all over ur head.
