Hair stick

Is it possible for a hair stick not to loosen up too easily on my hair?I have hair that’s about two and a half inches from the base of my neck, and it’s layered.should I use two hair sticks instead of one?

Ideally, hair pins better for long hair as opposed to short hair, but I find that teasing or backcombing the hair a bit before using hair sticks helps to make them hold. It’s also a matter of twisting the hair around the hair sticks and reinserting them to get just the right hold. And if it still doesn’t hold properly, there’s no shame in throwing in a few bobby pins/hair slides.
