Hair removal?

What is better than nair… Nair doesnt work for me and it stinks and it irritates my skin. What kind of hair removal stuff is easy to use and leaves your legs smooth and silky???

Answer #1

I would go for the Venus razors. Throw your Nair away since I heard that its no good. I would recomend you trying Venus Breeze and this particular razor has shave jell bars so there is no need for shave cream. I’ve never tried it myself, but, I hear both sides of it that its good it all depends. Then there is the Venus inbrace with 5 blades which I hear that’s good too. Or, the one I have that you could also try is Venus Vibrants which keep your leggs smooth like all Venus products. So, I hope I could help. Good luck in finding something to shave with.

when I use nair, I get a really bad rash… maybe im allergic… and by the time it stops burning, my hairs coming back, but you cant tell… instead you see little red bleedy bumpys everywhere from scratching… so I shave.. and it sucks… im thinking about using Veet… but is it more expensive?

Answer #4

have you ever considered waxing? its not as painful as people make it out to be, and it last a lot longer. all hair removal creams have the same effect as shaving, so you may as well shave if you think nair stinks. I think veet stinks too! waxing is the way to go!!! :)

good luck

thank you pixiedixie! I was wondering the same thing!!???

I am a beauty therapist, and waxing is one of the main treatments I do every day, and some of my clients have been waxing since they were 16 years old or so, and are now 50 or so. and none of them present ANY reasons that waxing is bad in the long run. in fact, it is completely the opposite. they now only need to wax every 3 months as their hair barely grows back, what a pleasure!!!
unless done incorrectly, then yes waxing may not be so good in the long run, because if an unexperienced therapist burns you with wax or rips any skin off by not waxing correctly, then yes, there may be scaring. so always make sure that when you go for waxing the therapist is sufficiently Experienced and definately QUALIFIED to do the job!
wax at home kits are where the risks lie - not professional waxing. as people that wax at home do not have the experience, nor can they get in to those ‘’hard to reach places’’. so I recommend a professional to do the job. yes it may be slightly more expensive, but the outcome is a positive one : no fuss with DIY kits, long term waxing causes the hair to not grow back thick and the waxing periods get longer between each session.

I AM TOTALLY PRO WAXING!! and not only because im a beauty therapist, but because its simply the best way to go about efficient hair removal!

Answer #6

I always use Veet. It doesn’t burn like Nair and it lasts a long time. :)

Answer #7

Seriously though, I’ve tried nair… never ever put it on your face. Ever. lol I had a bad burn on my cheeks for about a week… tried it on my arms too. Same reaction… and legs. Hey I dont like being hairy! lol So I must just have really sensitive skin if I cant even stand it on my legs. >.>

Razors are better anyway, since they get the hair closer than shavers would. And waxing I’ve heard isnt good for your body in the long term.

Answer #8

why isnt waxing good for your body in the long term??

Answer #9

I use an epilator.. what it does is it pulls the hair from the root so it grows back smoother and less darker.. I’ve tried this on my armpits and I can tell you it freakin hurts lol but its worth it :) eventually my hair will hopefully stop growin if I keep this up.. I dont shave because it only makes my hair dark and makes my legs all nasty and prickly …eww
