What can I do to keep my hair from getting too oily while washing it every other day?

I have been washing my hair every day for many years however, I want to begin washing it every other day to keep my hair healthy. However, after a day, my hair tends to get pretty oily, what can I do to prevent this?

Answer #1

Try washing it in warmer water.

Answer #2

I tried to see pics of your hair to see what type you have. My friend dusts baby powder in her hair to cut the oil down between washes. It didn’t work out so well for my hair type, but it may for you.

Answer #3

Dont use conditioner on your whole hea, just the Ends.

Answer #4

Try either - a dry shampoo or baby powder. rub a little on the roots, it helps absorb the oil. If anything, I find rinsing in cold water helps it look shinier and less oily for longer because the cold water closes the cuticles.

Answer #5

Reduce over jely

Answer #6

I do that, it works really well but you have to really work it into your hair or else it still looks a little white.

Answer #7

What you can do is use hair-spray. It keeps your hair how it is, and reduces the oil for abit.
