well, try leaving it on a little less time. if that doesn’t work, try a new color.

If you are worried about it being too dark or too light then you might just want to go to a salon. Or, a place where they sell hair color you can mix yourself. My mom does that. She’ll mix like 3 colors and get this really awesome color. It’s always different. Just make sure you ask for help getting the right stuff because the developers are different and you dont want to end up with the wrong one. You also need to pick up a SUPER conditioner.

if you dont leave it in for the recommended time, it wont grab to the hair cuticle the way it should. youll end up with multitone hair. dont try a lighter shade, unless youre putting on your entire head because if you put it on just your roots itll fade to be even lighter. either go with the same shade, and itll fade to the rest of your hair color or dye your entire head the lighter color you want.

It think it would be better to just buy a shade lighter.
