How can I fix a dye job that made me orange?

I just dyed my hair blonde but has gone orange. What colour do I use to get it back to light brown?

you can put conditiner in your hair and wrap it in suran wrap, but dont sleep in it and leave it in for about 30-40 min at the minimum. then you wash it out and if you want it to fade quicker then you can just keep doing it everynight and you willl keep getting results! good luck!! : )

i am a professional cosmetologist. The best way is to go to a professional but if you refuse… go to sally’s and tell them you are trying to acheive light brown. to do this on orange hair you must go a shade lighter than light brown..maybe dark blonde or lightEST brown b/c it will suck it up quick and appear darker darker than you want. so make sure you dont go picking light brown–go a level lighter..and to get rid of the orange get one with a blue-violet toner. so it should look on the bottle like– 6BV… mix it with 10 or 20 volume developer and leave on for 35 min. and voila!

Please go to a professional to have her fix it. You can still go blonde if you want. You just probably used some lame store bought brand to go from brown to blonde and the watery 20 volume peroxide they gave you in the box was too weak when you should have gone with a 30 or 40 volume and a blonde shade that is in the level of desired lightness that you want. Don’t know what I’m talking about? Right, that’s why you need to go to a professional.

When coloring your hair “back” brown, it is VERY easy to choose the wrong color and end up with something too dark and then you really have a problem. Go to a professional.

Listen kids: if you want to take your brown hair and give it a red hue or whatever, fine, do it yourself. But when going from brown to blonde to black to blonde–anything drastic, do it in a salon. PLEASE stop screwing with your own hair!
