Story goes she was on a zip line having fun with some friends at this lake I think near were she lives, and she suffered a gash on her leg after falling onto the water. She was sutured up and it was no big thing till days later when she caught this rare bacteria, and has of now lost a leg, part of her abdomen and now some fingers. Here is hoping that she survives.
Oh my gosh, that is seriously so horrible. I can't even imagine going through something like this. It's really sad how these things happen so unexpectedly. One minute this girl is having fun in a lake with her friends, the next she has a flesh eating virus. That's insane. I really hope she gets better.
It's terrible because that bacteria that caused this is in all or most bodies of waters and people rarely contract it. The form of this bacteria is super rare that she has so it's it's most unfortunate :/
Yea i have heard of this bacteria before. Mostly in lakes and oceans. If you cut yourself its best to not go into the water. And definatly get checked for that bacteria.
Yeah I have been following her case the last 2 weeks, and the story is just devastating to read. I do pray she will survive
thats sad :( gosh she is blessed to atleast still be alive. i hope she gets better though.
This bacteria is new to me since the only waters I go in are the oceans
