How exactly would you make a green screen?

If i use green material, what else would i need, and how do i get it to work?

Answer #1

the appropriate program. consult adobe programs and find a video editing software.

Answer #2

You just need a green sheet, blanket or any solid colored background that doesn’t blend with your clothes. I think that might be why they choose green, how often do you see celebrities wearing it!? Do a google search for green screen programs. If you just looking for something to chat with then check out ManyCam it draws things on your screen similar to green screen

Answer #3

Ah, this brings back so much regret lol, I was supposed to be majoring in film right now. The green screens that professionals use as a greenscreen are of a cloth that is quite expensive, so you on the other hand, can use a cheaper cloth like a table cloth, or wahtever else youcan find. Make sure the cloth is of a good bright green. When setting up your greenscreen, make sure there are no folds or creases on the sheet, as this will cast shadows onto the screen and will make it harder to key out. Make sure that the green screen covers the ground on which you will be stepping on. Ensure you have a good lighting source. Use lamps, or if you have, professional lights to shine onto the green screen. Ensure that the green screen is properly lit, any sort of shadow cast upon it will make it harder to key out, which is why getting a proper and good green screen is hard. Now, I use Adobe Premiere Pro for this, but other programs will have this possibly under a different name. THe name on the Premiere Pro is called “Chroma Key”. After you have shot your footage, search for the effect called Chroma Key. Drag it onto your clip and open up the effects panel for Chroma Key. Using the eye dropper tool, select the green from the green screen. Looking at the preview of your footage, adjust the amount of green you wish to key out. Play around with the settings. And as I said, a real good green screen keying is rather hard when you don’t have really good equipment.
